Coaching supports you to create and live your best life, both personally and professionally.

You and your coach work together in a safe and non-judgmental environment, determining where you are now, where you want to go if nothing were holding you back, and how you are going to get there.

Here are some frequently asked questions about coaching.

HOW DOES COACHING NORMALLY TAKE PLACE?
Coaching typically takes place over the phone  once a week for 30-55 minutes, depending on your time preference. A session over the phone means no travel time, and you can be anywhere – even in the comfort of your own home. Importantly too, phone sessions often create a quicker bond between you and your coach as many of the visual distractions are eliminated, and you can more quickly relax into speaking openly.

WHAT GOES ON DURING COACHING?
You decide the agenda and around what areas you wish to be coached. Your goals and your outcome are yours. Your coach is there to best support you, and will listen to you on a deep level, ask you questions to reveal your values and solutions and how to break through your limiting beliefs, help you  devise an action plan to achieve your goals, and  both encourage and celebrate you as you create what you want out of your life.

WHO TYPICALLY HAS A COACH?
Many key corporate and political leaders as well as star athletes rely on coaches to keep them focused, supported and accountable to being the best that they can be. Anyone interested in making positive changes in their life can benefit from a coach.

WHY WOULD I NEED A COACH IF I HAVE A PARTNER OR GOOD FRIENDS?
Our family and friends might support us unwaveringly. Even so, they may be so close to us that they make assumptions about who we are and what we want, and it may be hard for them to give us neutral feedback.  A good coach is objective, trained to listen to you at a deep level, and committed to helping you realize your authentic self, both personally and professionally.

AS I AM ALWAYS SHORT ON TIME, HOW CAN I FIT COACHING INTO MY BUSY LIFE?
You can easily coach over the telephone from the comfort of your home or office or even cell phone, so the arrangement can be both convenient and non-invasive – and very time efficient.

IS COACHING LIKE THERAPY?
Coaching is not therapy, counselling or psychology.  These typically treat dysfunction or some form of mental illness, and focus on past events and emotions. Coaching, on the other hand, works with you who are already functional, but may be feeling stuck or off-course, and wanting to enrich your life and make it the best it can be. As such, coaching is action-oriented and focused on the future, setting achievable goals, and moving you forward.
